Mantic, which builds AI systems for predicting events in the messy world of human affairs, including geopolitics, business, policy, technology, and culture, has raised £3m in a pre-seed round led by Episode 1, with backing from DRW and AI researchers at Anthropic and Google DeepMind. The company has come out of stealth with a team of AI technical staff drawn from Google DeepMind, Citadel, Cambridge, Oxford, and other AI startups.  

Artificial Societies, a Y Combinator-backed AI company that simulates human societies, has raised $5.35 million in seed stage funding, including a $3.35 million seed round led by Point72 Ventures, and a $2 million pre-seed immediately prior with participation from angels associated with DeepMind, Strava, and Sequoia Scout. This investment gives Artificial Societies a healthy runway to turn a scientific concept into a transformative technology that benefits everyone.

UK-based hospitality tech startup Inntelo AI has raised £506,000 in pre-seed funding to scale its AI Concierge platform, which is already being adopted by hotels across the UK, UAE, and Europe. The round was led by Haatch and British Business Investments, with participation from Look AI Ventures and angel investors.

Build Concierge, the customer engagement platform, has raised $5.1m (£3.8m) in seed funding from a consortium of private investors. The deal values the year-old start-up at £35m.

IdentifAI, the fast-growing startup tackling the threat of AI-generated disinformation, has raised a €5 million funding round led by United Ventures. This new investment follows a €2.2 million seed round less than a year ago, which included a number of angel investors, and will fuel IdentifAI's international expansion in Europe and into the US, as well as its continued development of a proprietary deepfake detection technology.

London-based Zango has raised $4.8m, in a round led by Nexus Venture Partners, a leading global venture capital firm with over $2.6 billion capital under management. Other participants in the latest round include South Park Commons, Richard Davies, CEO of Allica Bank, Alan Morgan, former head of Financial Services at McKinsey (EMEA), Mark Ransford, Notion Capital, No Label Ventures and Start Ventures.

AI auditing platform Warden AI has raised new funding round led by the founders of Onfido, the digital identity verification company acquired by Entrust in 2024. The round also includes participation from Playfair, a leading early-stage VC firm, and will support Warden's geographic expansion and product development.

Opper AI has announced the launch of its Task Completion API, backed by an oversubscribed $3 million pre-seed round. The API is designed to help developers move beyond one-off prompts and fragile prototypes, providing a structured and dependable path to launching AI-powered features in production environments.

The funding round includes backing from Luminar Ventures, Emblem Venture Capital (backers of one of the fastest growing AI startups in Europe - Loveable), Greens Capital, and several prominent angel investors. The Opper founding team - Göran Sandahl, Johan Gustafsson, and engineers from the Unomaly core team - bring more than 50 combined years of experience building automated, production-grade systems.

Startup JammJar is coming out of stealth with a platform designed to overhaul how mortgage brokers operate—by eliminating the admin that slows them down. With backing from early-stage investors Haatch and the British Business Bank’s South West Investment Fund via fund manager The FSE Group, the company is launching publicly with a goal to become the Al operating system for the UK's mortgage advice industry.

Perci Health, the UK's most comprehensive virtual cancer clinic, has successfully raised a total of £7.7 million funding, after closing a new £3 million round, doubling the original £1.5m target. This includes a £295,000 investment from Macmillan Cancer Support, further solidifying the charity's belief in Perci Health's mission
