Insurtech startup ETAP secures $1.5 million pre-seed funding

ETAP, an insurtech startup that makes it easier to buy and claim insurance, has secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to grow its team and drive the adoption of much-needed car insurance across Africa. Starting in Nigeria, the new funding will support the roll-out of ETAP’s game-changing app which allows drivers to buy insurance in 90 seconds, complete claims in 3 minutes or less and get rewarded for good driving and avoiding accidents.

Green Angel Syndicate leads £3.8m investment in Swytch

Green Angel Syndicate, the UK's largest network of specialist investors fighting climate change, has invested in a £3.8m investment round into Swytch.The funding will be used to launch Swytch's brand new product: the world's first pocket-sized eBike battery, which converts any bicycle into an electric bike.

The new Swytch eBike conversion kit features a pocket-sized battery (the "Power Pack") which is similar in size to a large smart-phone. The battery provides 250W of power and enough range for your daily commute, whilst weighing only 700g (1.5lb) and can be recharged in around 1 hour.
