AgriTech firm Drone Ag secures £350k innovation investments

A Northumberland-based AgriTech firm has secured a six-figure investment and received innovation grant funding to transform how farmers and rural landowners manage their assets.  Drone Ag established its business delivering aerial crop scouting, spraying, and mapping using drones and smart data-analytics and has gone on to secure a mix of Innovation funding to expand their operation into developing a drone-based solution to soil sampling.

New app to help children prepare for surgery raises £1.5m

A doctor who has developed an app to help reduce anxiety in children undergoing surgery has raised £1.5m from NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF), Mercia’s own funds and private angel investors.

Nous raises $9m to help households face living cost crisis

Nous (to rhyme with ‘house’) a London-based fintech start-up, has raised a $9m seed financing round to build out its service that helps households get smart and stay vigilant as they navigate the imminent cost of living crisis.

Intelligent energy management and storage technologies specialist, Verlume, has received a £2.5m investment from a consortium led by Par Equity.

Par Equity, a venture capital firm based in Edinburgh, specialises in investing in innovative technology companies and was joined by existing investors, Orchard Venture Capital and Scottish Enterprise.
