Biotech firm Lentitek secures £1 million to advance next-gen cancer treatments

Edinburgh-based biotech company Lentitek Ltd has secured £700,000 in private funding from Equity Gap, a leading Scottish angel investment syndicate, bringing its total investment to £1 million in the last six months. This follows a £300,000 Innovate UK grant awarded recently, earlier, accelerating the development and commercialisation of its groundbreaking viral vector technology for next-generation cancer treatments.

GC Angels backs £400k funding for health tech start up Prorizon

Prorizon, a Manchester-based health and sports tech start up, has raised £400k in a pre-seed funding round, with GC Angels leading the investment in partnership with Innovate UK. The funding was secured alongside an Innovate UK Investor Partnership award with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS), as well as additional backing from angel investors.

The investment will accelerate Prorizon's platform development, integrating advanced AI technology to provide personalised and preventative interventions for individuals managing both physical and psychological stress.

Atelerix raises £750k from ACF to revolutionise biological transport

Atelerix, a Newcastle University spinout that is transforming the way that biosamples essential for drug discovery and pharmaceutical research are stored and transported, has raised £750k, with participation from ACF Investors and biotech specialist investors o2h Ventures, bringing the year's total funding to £1.25m. The investment will be used to drive the company's branding and sales efforts and drive widespread adoption of its technology, positioning Atelerix's range of hydrogels as the preferred shipping method for biosamples.
