The transaction includes a £600,000 investment from the Maven VCTs and a further £400,000 investment from the North East Development Capital Fund, supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Maven.

The lead investor is Forestay Capital, who are joined by Redalpine, Acton Capital, Axa Venture Partners and Atlantic Labs. The new financing will primarily be used to support expansion into further cities in Germany. Zenjob plans to roll-out its digital recruiting technology throughout the country by the end of the year and subsequently expand internationally. Currently, the Berlin-based business’ services are deployed and used in 14 German Cities.

Echion Technologies, led by Jean De La Verpilliere are developing a portfolio of advanced Lithium-ion battery materials that look to provide low barriers to market entry along with rapid customer access. The round was led by new investor Vintage Investment Partners, a leading global venture firm. Existing investors BatteryVentures, HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, Saban Ventures, and btov Partners, as well as insurance company AXA Germany (AXA Innovation Campus) and Deutsche Bank, also participated in the investment round. The new round brings the total fundraising of the German-Israeli tech company (with offices in Berlin and Tel Aviv) to more than €50 million.
