BBB Regional Angels Programme invests in JECO

The British Business Bank has made its first investment through the Regional Angels Programme new co-investment platform.  JECO, an automated toolset provider, designed specifically for video games software developers and digital creatives looking to streamline their development processes and future-proof their products has secured $1.3m / £960,000 in growth funding. The deal was led by Games Angels, with British Business Bank participating in the round.

PetProov gets backing from Fhunded Angel investor

PetProov, a Chorley-based startup which uses anti-fraud technology to combat illegal and unethical practices within the pet sector, has recently closed a six-figure angel investment round.  The final five-figure investment came from a sole angel investor, James Butcher, a serial entrepreneur and business consultant based in the north west. James is also one of Lancashire's Fhunded Angels, a community of private investors looking specifically for early-stage and high growth investment opportunities in the county.

Inntelo AI raises £500K to transform hotel operations

UK-based hospitality tech startup Inntelo AI has raised £506,000 in pre-seed funding to scale its AI Concierge platform, which is already being adopted by hotels across the UK, UAE, and Europe. The round was led by Haatch and British Business Investments, with participation from Look AI Ventures and angel investors.

IdentifAI raises €5m to tackle the rise of deepfakes

IdentifAI, the fast-growing startup tackling the threat of AI-generated disinformation, has raised a €5 million funding round led by United Ventures. This new investment follows a €2.2 million seed round less than a year ago, which included a number of angel investors, and will fuel IdentifAI's international expansion in Europe and into the US, as well as its continued development of a proprietary deepfake detection technology.
