Neurovalens raises more than £5 million to advance approvals of neurostimulation technology

Neurovalens, a global healthtech company headquartered in Belfast and San Diego, has raised £5.1 million in funding, led by IQ Capital. Wharton Asset Management Company, The Angel CoFund (ACF), Techstart Ventures, Clarendon Fund Managers, and the Government’s Future Fund also contributed to the funding round, which will be used to expand on the success of Neurovalens’ initial clinical trials and develop the technology’s application for other conditions.

Norgrove Building Supplies, based in Kidderminster, has secured a significant investment from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) Equity Finance Fund, managed by Midlands-based venture capital firm MidvenThe well-established business specialises in supplying a wide range of building materials to the construction sector. In 2017, the company was acquired by entrepreneur Jack Norgrove and since then has grown its site capacity and product range.

£20.5 million raised by car subscription firm Drover

Drover, the European leader in car subscriptions, announces a £20.5 million investment. The investment has been co-led by new investors Target Global, RTP Global and Autotech Ventures. Additional new investors are Channel 4 Ventures and Rider Global. Existing investors Cherry Ventures, BP Ventures, Partech, Version One and Forward Partners also participated in the round.

Government of Côte d'Ivoire commits EUR 5 million to SDG500

SDG500, a pioneering USD$500 million investment platform dedicated to helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has secured a new EUR 5 million commitment from the Government of Côte d'Ivoire. Lacina Koné, the Chief Executive Officer of SmartAfrica, made the announcement in a tribute address honoring the former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire and his mentor, Amadou Gon Coulibaly, who passed away on July 8 2020.

Foresight injects £1 million to boost expansion at Edinburgh-based Ajenta

 

Foresight Group LLP, a leading independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, has announced a £1 million growth capital investment into Ajenta Limited, a provider of specialist video conferencing services to schools, colleges and universities and other public sector organisations.  This is the fifth investment made by the £20 million Foresight Scottish Growth Fund, which is financed by the Scottish Growth Scheme through a combination of Scottish Government funds and the European Regional Development Fund.

YFM backs £17m Management Buyout of GHG Limited

Loss adjusting and claims management specialist GHG Limited near Southampton has funded its primary buy-out by securing a £7m equity investment from YFM Equity Partners. The deal, with a total value of £17m, is the first from the PE house’s £80m Buyout Fund II and marks the second investment made by YFM since the coronavirus pandemic began, following on from its investment into vehicle safety systems business ISS.

Orbital Witness earns £3.3m Seed funding to create Universal Risk Rating for real estate
UK-based startup Orbital Witness has closed a £3.3m seed funding round led by LocalGlobe and Outward VC with participation from previous investors, including Seedcamp and JLL Spark. This investment round brings Orbital Witness’s total funding to £4.5m.
