IW Capital has announced the launch of its series B investment round for one of the UK’s leading fintech scale-ups -WeSwap.  The funding will enable the company’s expansion into the Asian market, in addition to a host of new products including a corporate offering for 2018.

Intertrust; a leading global provider of high-value fund, trust and corporate services, has been appointed as fund administrator to the UK’s first female founded, specialist private equity firm, Vaultier7 (V7). 

Mercia Technologies PLC announces that one of its third party managed funds, the RisingStars Growth Fund, has completed a further cash realisation from Blue Prism Group plc, representing to date a 55x return on the Fund’s original investment.

Yorkshire-based Nationwide Window Cleaning has received new investment of £1.5m from BGF to support its organic growth strategy and the acquisition of Reflekt Cleaning Company. The investment follows a period of significant growth at NWC, with revenues increasing by close to 100 percent since BGF’s first investment, from £7.5m in June 2014 to more than £14m in June 2017.

Roc Technologies, one of the UK’s fastest growing companies for IT services, has secured a £10m investment from BGF to support its longer-term growth strategy and the acquisition of City Change Management (CCM).

Pixey.io, an Edinburgh-based startup enabling broadcasters and publishers to obtain the digital rights to Instagram photographs has secured almost £250,000 in seed funding. The company, set up by Sarah Stenhouse, will use the cash injection to add five new members of staff over the next six months to introduce artificial intelligence technology and grow its international profile.

ZOA Robotics has secured seed investment from the British Robotics Seed Fund (BRSF). The £85,000 investment is the first of a series that have been made by the UK’s robotics-focussed investment firm, and is in a company that is raising further investment on the new and complementary robotics crowdfunding platform Britbots CROWD (http://crowd.britbots.com).

BGF has agreed to successfully exit its minority stake in aircraft seat manufacturer, Acro Aircraft Seating. The company will, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions including regulatory approval, be acquired by Zhejiang Science and Technology Investment Company (ZTC) for £55m. 

Hoop the family app that helps parents discover and book what’s on for their kids, has secured £2.4 million in funding which will help to grow the business across the country and begin to focus on revenue growth.  BGF Ventures, the UK-focused fund, is the lead investor. 

The Finance Durham fund managed by Maven Capital Partners has completed its first deal, investing £250,000 in the region’s largest small-batch craft distillery, Durham Gin.
