August Equity, the UK lower mid-market investor, has raised £224m for its latest vehicle, August Equity Fund IV. The Fund will continue August’s longstanding strategy of backing management teams to build UK businesses of scale in service-led companies which are sourced and created through the firm’s self-origination model.

Tantalum Corporation announces a significant investment by Korean automotive technology company Handysoft, part of the Dasan group. Further funding is also coming from Disruptive Capital, a long-standing investor in Tantalum.

Triptease, a travel SaaS start-up that provides a platform to hotels seeking to increase direct bookings, has raised $9 million in Series B funding. The funding round was led by new investor BGF Ventures, with participation from existing investors Notion Capital and Episode 1 Ventures.
