Scottish renewable tech firm Innovatium raises £900k

Innovatium, a Scottish technology business focused on reducing the carbon impact of industrial processes, has secured over £900,000 of new investment to enhance its new liquid air battery technology.

Led by the investment syndicate Kelvin Capital, alongside co-investment partners Scottish Enterprise, the funding round will support the continued development of Innovatium’s ground-breaking Liquid Air Energy Storage System called the PRISMA Air Battery.  The funding will also be used to scale the already experienced team to assist in the build of productionised units for identified clients.

Lune raises $4m to help businesses integrate climate impact

Lune, which aims to change this by offering an API and software tools to make it easy for any business to integrate climate impact into their customer experience, has closed a $4m funding round led by early-stage VC Crane, with participation from 15 reputable angel investors, including Maximilian Tayenthal (co-founder of N26), Fredrik Hjelm (co-founder of Voi) and Tony Jamous (co-founder of OysterHR & Nexmo).

Angel Investment Network reports impressive rise in startup investment activity

Elbow Beach leads funding in bioenergy company WASE

Wastewater treatment and bioenergy company, WASE, has raised £400,000, to be followed by a further £300,000, following closure of the oversubscribed Seedrs campaign. The funding was led by Elbow Beach Capital, the decarbonisation, sustainability and social impact investor, with support from the Science Angel Syndicate, and the European Union’s Climate-KIC’s investment support programme Found by Us, Funded by You, WASE has raised over £1 million.

ACF leads £3.75m funding for fitness startup BLOK

€10bn angel funding targeted as Ireland hosts European business angel reunion

CorkBIC will host an all-Europe angel reunion at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork, on 18th and 19th May in the presence of Michael McGrath TD, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform. Business angels and super angels from across Europe will attend the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) Congress with the aim of increasing annual angel investment in Europe from €8BN to €10BN by 2025.
