Seneca Partners EIS portfolio company Wejo completes US $1 Billion Nasdaq listing

Seneca Partners, the specialist SME investment business based in the North West has announced that EIS portfolio company, Manchester-based Wejo Limited, a leader in connected vehicle data, has completed a reverse merger with Virtuoso Acquisition Corp (VOSO.O) and trading in the enlarged business commences today on Nasdaq.

Charco raises $10m for wearable device to ease Parkinson’s symptoms

Charco Neurotech, a medical technology company that develops solutions for people with Parkinson’s, has raised $10m seed investment round, co-led by technology investors Amadeus Capital Partners and Parkwalk Advisors, and joined by University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners (UTEC), MINT Venture Partners, and existing investors, including Crista Galli Ventures. The financing is the largest European seed round in 2021 and the sixth largest globally for healthtech devices, according to Pitchbook.

Charco is a multi-award winning, Imperial College spinout. Its first therapeutic device, CUE1, provides life-changing neuromodulation therapy.

Eskuta receives £1 million from MEIF West Midlands Debt Fund

 

Eskuta Limited has received a total of £1m worth of funding from The Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF), West Mids Debt Finance Fund, managed by Maven Capital Partners, and backed by the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS).  The business, which has headquarters in Nuneaton, had already received funding from MEIF to support the business’s ambitious growth plans, but has now received a second funding round of £500,000, bringing the total to £1m.
