Linton Hydro Ltd has successfully raised £3.3 million through the Triodos impact investment crowdfunding platform from both retail and institutional investors.

Trouva, the online destination for unique products from the best curators around the world, today announces it has raised £17 million in further investment to accelerate international expansion. The funding was led by Octopus Ventures, alongside C4 Ventures and Downing Ventures, with BGF and LocalGlobe also participating in the round.  

BGF has welcomed the Australian Government’s announcement to establish an Australian Business Growth Fund that will help boost the growth of small and medium businesses.

A new ethical loan fund has been launched to help grow businesses who find accessing finance difficult has been warmly welcomed by the FSB as a way of disrupting the market.

The fund, delivered by Transmit Growth Loans, has been created to support small business across England whose growth is stunted because of lack affordable finance. 

It aims to make access to funding fair, flexible and simple, with loans of between £10,000 and £60,000 initially.

Blackfinch has invested in London-based company Movebubble, founded in 2014. Movebubble offers an app that lists properties available to rent, and helps manage the rental process, from booking viewings to moving into a property.

Movebubble has over 30,000 properties available to view in London and Manchester with real-time availability of all those listed.  The app uses data from its users to suggest suitable areas and properties, making it easier for people to find and secure a rental.
