Life Insurer yulife Raises £10 Million in Funding Led by Creandum

yulife, the life insurance company which puts wellbeing at the heart of its insurance offering, has announced that it has secured £10 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Creandum Funds, backers of Spotify, iZettle and depop. MMC Ventures and Notion Capital participated in the round alongside existing investors Anthemis Exponential Ventures, RGAX and Israel’s most active venture investor OurCrowd. This new round of funding follows a previous £3m seed-round led by LocalGlobe.

TriEye secures $17M in Series A financing

Israeli startup TriEye, whose innovative Short-Wave-Infra-Red (SWIR) sensing technology is able to see in adverse weather and night-time conditions, announced today a $17M Series A funding round, led by Intel Capital. Other investors include Marius Nacht, co-founder of Check Point Software Technologies, and TriEye’s existing investor Grove Ventures, headed by TriEye chairman Dov Moran, the inventor of the USB flash drive and co-founder of M-Systems. Since inception, TriEye has raised over $20M, including a seed investment of $3M led by Grove Ventures in November 2017.

NPIF - Maven leads £500,000 in Handsome

 

Maven Capital Partners, has led a £500,000 investment in back & posture care product specialist, Handsome Limited. A total of £250,000 was invested by NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, and £250,000 provided by the GMC Fund, along with the company’s lead China manufacturing partner.. The funding will allow the company to execute its ambitious marketing strategy to expand overseas, invest in product development and will create five new jobs in the region.

Enlaps raises €3 million to boost up its development

Enlaps, the inventor of the Tikee timelapse solution, has announced that it has closed a funding round of €3 millions from business angels including Fabien Pierlot, founder and CEO of Coyote, Jiong Ma, Senior Partner at Braemar, Charles Matine, ex-Apple and from banking institutions such as BPI, BNP Paribas and Caisse d’Epargne.  This financing will allow the Grenoble-based start-up founded in 2015 and recognized in 2016 by an Innovation Award at CES in Las Vegas, to speed up its development and to continue to provide its solutions to a wider range of customers from professional users to individuals with a passion for photography.
