The funding round was led by Finnish venture capital company Gorilla Capital and the Arctic15 Funding Program consisting of a syndicated deal from 14 angel investors from FiBAN and the Nordic Angel Program.

- 0 commentsInvestcorp Technology Partners, a leading European lower middle market technology investor, has acquired Berlin-based Softgarden, a fast-growing Human Resources (HR) software provider for an undisclosed sum. The investment is the fourth deal from Investcorp’s fourth Technology Fund.
Founded in 2005, Softgarden offers an innovative recruitment technology platform to a diversified set of German midmarket and enterprise customers. The company’s “Applicant Tracking System” (ATS), a SaaS platform covering the entire digital corporate recruitment process, enables companies to streamline and manage their entire recruitment process in a fully automated and data-privacy compliant manner. In addition to this, Softgarden offers a proprietary jobseeker market place with over 65,000 candidate profiles, as well as a tool allowing for the automated posting of job adverts on more than 300 job boards.

- 0 commentsThe total value of funds business in Guernsey is at a five-year high following a predicted rise in net asset value in Q2 2018, according to the latest figures from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
The figures for the end of June 2018 showed the net asset value stood at £276.2 billion, the highest since the end of June 2013, and a growth of more than £13 billion (4.94%) on Q1 2018 and a 12-month growth of more than £5 billion (1.9%).

- 0 commentsBGF has provided £6m funding to One Media iP Group plc, a digital media content provider that primarily exploits music intellectual property rights. The AIM listed company, which is based in Pinewood Studios, will use the funding to support the acquisition of music catalogues as part of its buy and build growth strategy.
BGF’s funding follows the Board appointments earlier this year of Ivan Dunleavy, former CEO of Pinewood Studios and current non-executive chair of BGF-backed Milk Visual Effects, and Lord Michael Grade, formerly Chair of BBC, executive chair of ITV and CEO of Channel 4. The company employs a team of 15 including full-time creative technicians.
