Celonis riases $50m series B funding

Celonis, the global market leader in process mining software, has raised $50 million in Series B funding from existing investors Accel and 83North, which values the company at $1 billion. Celonis has outpaced its growth targets since its June 2016 $27.5 million Series A funding and has been a profitable company every year since its inception.

uMotif, the data capture company putting patients at the centre of clinical research, has raised £2.4 million in its latest funding round led by Albion Capital, the leading independent investment manager, along with several angel investors.

LitBAN makes first investment in Oxipit

Lithuanian Business Angels Network (LitBAN), together with Co-Investment Fund “Koinvesticinis Fondas”, announced the first official investment in a Lithuanian startup. A unique investment of 100K EUR will go to Oxipit, a startup developing innovative diagnostic tools that allow to recognize cancer and other pathologies in radiograms using AI.

Maven backs BioAscent with £1.6 million investment

Maven Capital Partners has completed a £1.6 million investment in BioAscent Discovery Limited, an integrated drug discovery services business. The funding will enable BioAscent to significantly expand its service offering, adding complementary chemistry and biology services and capitalise on the growing trend towards the outsourcing of drug discovery activities. The funding will support the creation of 10 new jobs, including in highly skilled scientific positions, and fund additional laboratory space.

Seedrs Secondary Market 1 year on

Seedrs announces record levels of trading in its first year operating a secondary market and what’s next for the product. In the twelve months since launch, the platform has seen impressive demand for shares in its portfolio companies. In the process, Seedrs has achieved 2,990 investor exits in what was previously an illiquid asset class.

Until Seedrs launched its secondary market, the long-term nature of early stage private equity meant that shares tend to be illiquid and investors would have to wait for an exit event such as an IPO or a sale of the business before seeing any returns on their investment.

Resonance backed Launchpad Loan Helps Educate and Support Domestic Abuse Victims in Devon
