Voneus, a UK broadband provider, has secured a £4.8M Growth Capital loan from BOOST&Co alongside a £500k equity funding round raised by Jenson Funding Partners. Voneus makes super-fast broadband available to customers in UK rural and metro communities, using innovative solutions where alternative services may not be available.

EnteroBiotix, a privately held Scottish biotechnology company focused on using the body’s own microorganisms to prevent and treat disease, has raised £500,000 in an oversubscribed seed round of investment. The financing was led by Equity Gap and supported by the Scottish Investment Bank, the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise.

Latest research from the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) using Matrix Financial Clarity has revealed purchases of investment companies by advisers and wealth managers on adviser platforms hit a record level over the 12 months to end of March 2017 at £777m.  This is 11% higher than in the year to December 2015 (£698m), which was the previous record for a 12-month period.
