Financial wellbeing platform Blackbullion secures £2.5m

Financial wellbeing platform Blackbullion has announced a £2.5m investment round to accelerate financial wellbeing for students. The new funding round will scale the platform’s growth, driving Blackbullion’s mission to simplify the complex world of finance for young people, while connecting them with scholarships and additional funds while they study

The oversubscribed round was led by Calyx Venture Fund with existing investors including Lord Stanley Fink and MPA Education, also participating; Blackbullion is the first investment for MPA’s second fund.

Solar tech firm Sunstone raises £1m to fund growth

British technology company, Sunstone Systems, has raised £1m in equity finance in its latest funding round. 

 

 

 

 

Based in Kent, Sunstone Systems creates solar-powered technologies that provide surveillance, wireless networks and satellite communications to some of the most remote locations in the world. All while helping global organisations to reduce their CO2 emissions. This fundraise comes off the back of a stellar period of growth which saw it double year on year revenue in 2021, with projections to do the same in 2022.

Net Purpose raises £10m to mobilise billions for sustainable investing

German 3D printing startup iFactory3D investment from private investor network

Düsseldorf-based technology startup iFactory3D has completed a financing round on the investment platform Companisto. More than 600 individual private investors and business angels pledged over one million euros for the company and its innovative product, the One Pro 3D belt printer. One of the aspects that convinced them was a special feature that differentiates the 3D belt printer from conventional printers: thanks to the built-in conveyor belt and smart camera technology, objects can be printed in series around the clock without supervision.

Green Angel Syndicate closes 4th round of latest fund

Round 4 of the Green Angel Syndicate EIS & SEIS Climate Change Fund opened on Friday 1st July and closed on 22nd September, having exceeded its minimum funding target by 50%. The round was evenly split between GAS members and non-members, and 45% of investors had invested in one or more previous rounds of the Climate Change Fund.

Water purification startup Sküma Water secures £300,000 investment

Sküma Water has raised £300,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by early-stage focused venture capital firm Jenson Funding Partners. Multiple angel investors also participated in the round, including William Ripley, a notable investor in sustainable technology and ex-director of product strategy at Philips.
