Acton Capital invests in cyber security company SoSafe
Cologne-based SoSafe GmbH closed a substantial seven figure Pre- Series-A round, bringing a new partner on board. The international VC Acton Capital joins Global Founders Capital as a second investor in SoSafe’s group of shareholders. With the new growth capital, SoSafe is responding to the increased demand of corporate clients in the context of the Corona crisis by expanding its cybersecurity training platform with additional features, as well as pursuing international growth, in particular to make it easier to train staff working from home and to help them using remote software more securely.

British Patient Capital invests in Quantexa, as part of $64.7 million funding

British Patient Capital announces its participation in Quantexa’s series C funding round as Quantexa announces the close of the round at $64.7 million (£51.2m).The deal is the first direct investment by British Patient Capital in a company as part of a long-term co-investment strategy that identifies and supports high-potential, later-stage UK companies in its underlying portfolio. In the case of Quantexa, British Patient Capital had a prior exposure via its commitment to Dawn Capital’s third fund.

Genius Group’s latest acquisition creates world’s largest entrepreneur education business

Genius Group has completed the acquisition of Entrepreneur Resorts Ltd, comprising luxury resorts and lodges, beach clubs and city co-working hubs for $32.6 million. The acquisition results in a combined entrepreneur education group with over 1.4 million students in 200 countries, and a faculty of 2,000 mentors guiding students to launch and grow their own businesses.

Mixed Reality Pioneer AerinX Has Landed EUR 2 Million of VC Investment

Takarék Venture Capital Fund I. managed by Dutch-Hungarian VC company DBH Investment has invested EUR 2 million into Budapest-based AerinX in a Pre-Series A round. The company develops and provides digital aircraft maintenance solutions. AerinX plans to enter international markets with its highly innovative mixed reality (MR) system for the external inspection and maintenance of aircraft and other aerial vehicles early next year.

Novai closes £500k seed funding for eye disease detection

 Novai, a biotechnology startup originating from University College London, has secured £500,000 in seed funding in a round led by SFC Capital. The funding will be used to further develop Novai’s AI-powered technology that enables standard medical imaging equipment to identify eye disease at a cellular level up to 18 months earlier than current gold-standard processes.
